Punjab CM suspends DIG investigations for misleading PM

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Sunday has suspended DIG Investigations Lahore Inam Waheed and two other police officers for sending a wrong report upon a complaint on Citizens Portal.

As per details, a woman hailing from Manawan area of Lahore registered a complaint on Citizen Portal for the recovery of her daughter upon which the Prime Minister has ordered an inquiry.

PM house was misinformed on the matter by the police upon which the PM has ordered an inquiry to the government of Punjab.

On the directives of PM, Punjab CM has suspended the DIG Investigation and two other senior police officials and ordered to probe the matter further. Sardar Usman Buzdar has also ordered officials to submit a detailed report of the matter within a week.

On the other hand, the missing girl Rimsha Tariq has been returned to her home after five months.

Earlier, it was surfaced that the police have closed the case’s file after a few days of registration as they were failed to recover the girl. To which, the girl’s mother had requested the PM via Citizen Portal app to help her in the recovery of her missing daughter.
