‘Lying’ won’t save ’embarrassed’ Asad Umar, says Marriyum

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Central Spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has launched another attack full of lies on former finance minister Ishaq Dar to hide the embarrassment of Asad Umar being refused a meeting by US finance minister.

Responding to the press conference by Fawad Chaudhry, Marriyum said that Fawad was told to do the press conference to divert attention away from the disgrace PTI had faced at the hands of US.

She said that she could understand Imran Khan’s frustration as his ministers are severely incompetent while himself is also unqualified to hold office, and to add insult to injury, he couldn’t even prove any corruption on PML-N’s leadership.

She said that Khan should stop embarrassing the office of prime minister by pointing fingers and levelling accusations. “Khan is not in the opposition now, he is the head of the country, he runs this business, he should prove wrongdoing with evidence instead of just whining and accusing,” she said.

The Lying Company, she said, is back at it again, hurling bursts of lies followed by more lies packaged in the same old false narrative driven by hatred, vengeance, incompetence and political victimisation.

“When will the prime minister stop taking the Pakistani people for fools and learn that the nation had figured out and rejected PTI’s distraction policy to hide how badly this government is destroying their lives and their country?” she asked.

“The people of Pakistan are now only interested in knowing when those 10 million jobs and five million homes will drop out of the sky. They want to know how inflation tripled over three months and when it will be reversed,” she added.

Marriyum also asked when the information minister would hold a press conference on the country’s financial disasters and when the premier would apologise to the nation for the trillion-rupee corruption nightmare of Peshawar Metro. “When will he confess and seek the nation’s pardon over granting an NRO to his sister Aleema Khan and his friend Jahangir Tareen?” Maryam further questioned.

“When will Khan show some level of being principled and tell the people who funds his party via money laundered through 18 fake bank accounts?” she asked in conclusion.
