MQM-P announces rally in Karachi

KARACHI: Muttahida Quami Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) has announced to hold a big rally in Karachi on April 27.

MQM-P head Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui addressing a press conference here Saturday said that the biased thinking of the ruling PPP has already divided Sindh and all it needs a formal declaration. He said we will hold a rally in Bagh-e-Jinnah on April 27 and present the case of urban areas.

He said a deception was made with the urban areas of Sindh in the name of the 19th amendment. He said the Prime Minister under Article 149 can interfere into provincial matters. He said price hike is rising and Karachi is facing an acute shortage of water. He demanded to give 35percent of resources to provinces through local government level.

On the occasion, MQM-P leader Nasreen Jalil said the citizens of Karachi have the right on jobs in Karachi Port Trust (KPT).
