ISLAMABAD: Fearful of being arrested by the accountability watchdog, four more accused in the fake accounts case on Friday approached the Islamabad High Court (IHC) seeking pre-arrest bails.
The accused– Raheel Mobeen, Christopher Steven, Ghazanfar Ahsan and Muhammad Nasir filed petitions in IHC seeking relief in the case.
The petitioners prayed the court to grant them pre-arrest bail till conclusion of trial against them. They said they were ready to cooperate with the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) regarding the investigation in fake accounts case.
The petitioners had also attached the copies of summons issued by an accountability court against them.
The NAB chairman and director general Rawalpindi have been nominated in the petitions as respondents.
Former president and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, his sister Faryal Talpur and former Sindh chief minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah have already been granted bail in the fake accounts case.
