–Minister says it is false news, vows to sue media outlet
Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda said on Thursday the government would announce one billion jobs within the next two weeks.
According to APP, the minister said Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government was responsible for Pakistan’s poor economy and inflation. He said that the lack of jobs was due to PML-N’s poor policies.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) got the public mandate to form the government and the same people would stand with the government through thick and thin adding that the PML-N leaders had lost the trust of the people as their credibility became dubious, he stated.
“Inflation, unemployment and energy crises remained the biggest issues during the PML-N government as well, but they were busy in minting money and constructing roads rather than introducing projects to end these troubles,” he added.
Meanwhile, the minister denied the report, demanding an apology from the news outlet for publishing the “false news”.
“The newspaper must apologise for this news “and the way they have sensitised it by giving this false number of ‘one billion’ which I never claimed,” he said. “If they don’t retract the statement then I’ll take legal action and file a complaint to the relevant department,” he added.
