NAB files fourth reference against ex-DG KDA, others

KARACHI: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Wednesday filed the fourth reference against former Karachi Development Authority (KDA) director Nasir Abbas and others in an accountability court in a case pertaining to illegal allotment of 14 plots in Gulistan-e-Jauhar area of megacity Karachi.

The NAB reference said investigation against ex-local government minister of Sindh Jam Khan Shoro and government official Muhammad Ramzan Awan was continuing.

The reference said a supplementary reference would be filed against them, once the investigation is completed.

The administrative judge of the accountability courts in Karachi accepted the reference for hearing.

Others accused in the reference are additional director (admin) Khalid Zafar Hashmi, Irfan Khan Yousufzai, Nadeem Ahmed Siddiqui, Iftikhar, director recovery Fazal Bukhari and Syed Farzand Ali.

According to reference all accused are involved in illegal allotment of 13 plots in Gulistan-e-Johar. The accused illegally used their authority.

According to NAB, illegal allotment of plots cost the national exchequer Rs180 million.
