KARACHI: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has traced transactions of more than Rs8 billion through six benami bank accounts in Karachi, according to a media report.
According to the report, the FBR has lodged cases against four traders on charges of evading taxes amounting to Rs1.26bn. According to sources, bailable arrest warrants of Rs2m each have been issued against the accused.
Earlier, SC was informed that Pakistani nationals own up to $150bn worth of assets and money in bank accounts in United Arab Emirates (UAE).
