NAB summons Akram Durrani on April 11

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) summoned former federal minister Akram Durrani over assests beyond means case at its Rawalpindi office on April 11.

NAB stated that the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) leader allegedly allotted plots to his loved ones in DHA foundation which suffered great losses to the national exchequer.

Durrani served as the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from 2002 to 2007. He served as federal minister for housing and works, in the Shahid Khaqan Abbasi cabinet from August 2017 to May 2018.

According to the NAB, complaint against Akram Durrani is in inquiry process.

Sources said that JUI-F leader will be handed a questionnaire during inquiry.

Last year, NAB Chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal ordered an inquiry against former federal minister over misuse of power and illegal allotment of plots.
