Kashmiris go on strike over killing of youth

SRINAGAR: A complete shutter down strike is being observed in the Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) on Sunday against martyred of two Kashmiri youth in Shopian district.

Educational institutions, business centres and transport is completely closed in the held valley to record protest against the killing of Rahil Rashid Sheikh and Bilal Ahmed by Indian forces.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the troops had martyred the youth, Rahil Rashid Sheikh and Bilal Ahmed, on Saturday, during a cordon and search operation at Padguchi in Imam Sahib area of the district.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, the Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, the Kashmir High Court Bar Association and the Jammu and Kashmir Islami Tanzeem-e-Azadi in their statements strongly condemned the use of brute force against the detainees at Central Jail, Srinagar. Several detainees lodged in the jail were injured due to the use of brute force against the protesting inmates on Thursday evening.

On the other hand, India’s Taj Mahal echoed with slogans of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ on the event of the annual Urs of Emperor Shahjahan.

They added that India’s infamous National Investigation Agency has pinpointed the Hurriyat leaders for fake cases simply because they advocate the right to self-determination for the people of Kashmir.
