Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday took a hit at Prime Minister Imran Khan over the regularisation of his Bani Gala resident without mentioning his name.
Taking to Twitter, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president replied to PM Imran’s tweet by referring to the regularisation of Bani Gala property.
“The illegally built mansion of the ruler is regularised whereas dwellings of poor are being demolished,” Shehbaz tweeted while hoping that “may Allah guide us to the right path!”
Can't agree more as the illegally built mansion of the ruler is regularized whereas dwellings of poor are being demolished. May Allah guide us to the right path! https://t.co/1YQ4C1TrCK

PM Imran had earlier tweeted, “Our Prophet PBUH said: Many nations before you were destroyed where there was one law for the powerful and another for the weak.”
On April 4, during hearing a suo-motu case regarding illegal construction in Bani Gala, the Supreme Court had expressed serious dissatisfaction over the performance of the Capital Development Authority (CDA).
Justice Gulzar Ahmed, heading a two-member bench, said the purpose to make Islamabad a federal capital had lost, mountains and forests have been eliminated while the streams and nullah of the city were turned into a heap of garbage.
In October 2018, a three-member bench of the Supreme Court had ordered the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government to regularise all properties located in the Bani Gala area of Islamabad, including the residence of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar said the prime minister would have to initiate the process of regularisation of the area by paying the required fee, recalling that it was Khan himself who had approached the top court with an application regarding illegal constructions in Bani Gala.
“Prime Minister Imran Khan should submit the regularisation fee before anyone else,” directed the CJP.
