KARACHI: Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Barrister Murtaza Wahab on Saturday has rejected the claims of foreign media about the special powers rendered to the Sindh Rangers.
As per details, Barrister Murtaza Wahab in a statement has rejected foreign media’s negative propaganda against Sindh Rangers and said that it will continue to serve in Sindh under special powers for the time being.
“Sindh Rangers will continue to serve in the province under special powers,” said Murtaza Wahab.
A day earlier, the provincial government approved the extension of Rangers’ special powers in Karachi for another 90 days.

Under the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997, Rangers will be able to take independent action against criminals and suspected terrorists within Karachi division for 90 days.
