ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) Thursday accepted a petition against the former PML-Q Senator Pari Gul Agha.
The petition was filed by Muhammad Amin alleging the former senator for presenting fake degrees in ECP while submitting application for Senator Seat in 2003.
The petition was heard by Justice Gul Hassan Aurangzeb.
The petitioner made Election Commission of Pakistan, Vice-Chancellor University of Punjab and Secretary Senate as the respondents.
The counsel for petitioner contended before the court that the former senator fraudulently submitted fake graduation degree and matriculation certificate while submitting nomination papers for the senator seat from Balochistan at PML-Q ticket in 2003.
According to petition, ECP passed the nomination papers without examining the application thoroughly and without verification.
The petitioner pleaded that according to Pari Gul Agha’s documents submitted in ECP, she passed the BA papers from Punjab University in 1986 while according to record PU did not conducted BA papers in such year.
As well as the Roll number which she provided for matriculation certificate didn’t verify by the BISP Sargodha.
The applicant prayed the court for recovery of incentives and salaries that should be made from the former senator as she caused huge financial losses to national exchequer for six years as well sentence her for fabricating and making forged documents.
The court accepted the petition and issued the order to fix for hearing.
