LAHORE: The lawyer’s fraternity continued their protest for second day on Wednesday against registration of a case against Lahore Bar Association (LBA) Secretary General Maqsood Khokhar and others.

The lawyers not only boycotted court proceedings but also locked main gates of Model Town Courts, Lahore District Court and other subordinate courts.

Addressing a joint press conference here at the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA), the lawyers’ representatives, including LHCBA President Hafeezur Rehman Chaudhry and Pakistan Bar Council Member Abid Saqi warned that they would launch a protest campaign if the case was not withdrawn.

They also demanded the Lahore High Court chief justice to take notice of the incident.

It is pertinent to mention here that the lawyers also observed strike on Tuesday for some hours and boycotted court proceedings.
