PESHAWAR: Adviser to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Science and Technology Kamran Bangash Wednesday said that a lease agreement is being signed for acquiring 6 kanal of land for setting up of Digital complex in the provincial metropolitan soon.
Talking to a delegation of IT Park Peshawar here at his office, he said the digital complex would provide a permanent platform to IT companies to expand and promote their businesses, adding that a Digital City was being set up in Hari Pur.
The Adviser said that the provincial government was taking pragmatic measures in IT sector and intended to promote e-commerce, adding that the government would soon start a project to generate 0.85 million USD investment in the province.
He said the government was ensuring a conducive environment for foreign and local investors in IT sector so that better opportunities could be provided to youth.
The government was pursuing multi-prong strategies to promote IT sector in the province and giving incentives to investors in various projects.
He said the government would welcome the suggestions of IT investors and business community in future ventures and measures, adding Afghanistan could be the best market for export of IT industry and the government would consider patronizing the measures for improving relationship between IT industry and consumers.
The delegation comprising Waqar Younis, Arif Kamal, Owais Rafiq and Mohammad Bilal appreciated the government’s measures for promotion of IT sector and suggested steps to this effect.
