SRINAGAR: The Indian income tax department has seized the residential flat of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, in New Delhi on the pretext of tax dues.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the order passed by the department on March 29 has restrained Syed Ali Gilani from transferring the mentioned property.

A team of Income Tax Department reached Malviya Nagar in South Delhi this morning and attached the flat.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Indian government has already seized the properties of several Hurriyat leaders to intimidate Hurriyat leadership and the latest move is also part of the same conspiracy.

New Delhi has also banned Jamaat-e-Islami and Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front and seized their properties in the occupied territory.
