NAUDERO: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has said that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has not given any timeframe for submitting replies to their questionnaire, adding that it will be submitted to them when it is completed.
He was addressing a women social welfare workers’ gathering after which he spoke with journalists at the Bhutto House on Monday.
“Khan sahib calls himself a young leader. I am young. It is the era of young politics now and all of us should pave way for bringing the young generation ahead for which he should not have any objection. Khan sahib should bring youngsters to the forefront but he is worried that we will leave him behind and replace him,” said Bilawal.
Bilawal said that he has respect for Maulana Fazalur Rehman as he is a very good opposition leader. “If Maulana comes under our training it will prove to be better for the country,” he suggested.
He said that a ‘puppet government’ has been formed to roll back the 18th Amendment and finish the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP). “I appeal to the people of Pakistan to recognise the faces of people who were sitting with Khan sahib on stage in the Ghotki Jalsa because they want to end the constitution given by Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. They want to snatch your rights and your provincial government,” he added.
He said that the economy had been ruined and ‘petrol bombs’ are being thrown on the people but even then, the rulers claim that they care about the poor.
Bilawal asked why the common man is drowning in a tsunami of price hikes if everything is in control.
Further, he said that the issues confronted in Sindh will be jointly resolved as no single person can resolve them.
He promised that the women of Sindh will be politically empowered and asked women to take part in upcoming local bodies elections, adding that they will be facilitated in the process.
