RAWALPINDI: Special Court of customs, Taxation and Anti-Smuggling issued an order, on Monday, to auction notorious supermodel Ayan Ali’s property to the highest bidder.
Customs Prosecutor Ameen Ferooz, in compliance with court orders, confiscated the supermodel’s DHA apartment worth Rs35 million, and submitted a report in court.
After receiving the report, Judge Arshad Hussain Bhutta ordered to auction the property, and deposit the amount in state treasury.
The auction was ordered due to Ayan’s non-appearance after bail and resulting awarded proclaimed offender status in a currency smuggling case.
Earlier on March 26, the Special Court had written a letter to the interior ministry and asked them to either somehow bring back the model or dispose of the case.
In 2015, the supermodel was arrested at the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto International Airport while boarding a flight to the United Arab Emirates carrying $506,800 without the permission of the State Bank of Pakistan.
