ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Qaim Ali Shah on Monday filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) seeking pre-arrest bail in the fake bank accounts case.

In his petition, the former Sindh chief minister pledged that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned him on Wednesday, March 27 and he fears that he may be arrested upon his appearance. The petition further stated that Shah is 85-years-old and is entitled to pre-arrest bail due to his age.

Shah has named NAB Chief Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal and director general of the bureau as respondents.

A division bench of the IHC will take up his petition on Tuesday.
