Five outlaws held, arms, three cars, two bikes and looted cash recovered

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police arrested five outlaws including four members of a criminal gang, recovered arms, three cars, two stolen bikes, snatched cash and other valuables during separate actions here on Wednesday.

In line with directives of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar and DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed, SP (City) Sayad Aziz devised special strategy to curb crime in the area for which a special team was constituted under supervision of DSP Ulfat Arif and comprising SHO Secretariat police station Inspector Asjad Mehmood, Sub-Inspector Zahid Hussain and others.

The special team busted four-member gang including Sadiq Nasir, Abdul Qadir, Shamas and Zeeshan besides recovery of a pistol, two stolen bikes, four cell phones and snatched cash for them.

The detainees hailing from Neelum Valley of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) were involved in robberies, other crimes in Bhara Kahu, Industrial Area and different areas of AJK.

They also confessed of looting a cab driver after booking his cab for Faizabad near Athal Chowk.

Meanwhile, Kohsar police arrested a car-lifter identified as Habib Sultan and recovered three snatched vehicles.

The recovered arms, vehicles, bikes and other valuables were taken into custody and the police after registering separate cases against the detainees at concerned police stations started an investigation.
