SHC dismisses KDA’s report in illegal allotments case

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday rejected a report submitted by the Karachi Development Authority (KDA) in a case pertaining to illegal allotment of 12 plots.

The high court expressed outrage over the report presented by a KDA official and accused the authority of wanting to save responsible persons in the case.

Provincial legislator Jam Khan Shoro and other accused were produced in court while a KDA official appeared to present a detailed report.

As the hearing resumed today, the SHC judge questioned regarding the status of the plots.

The KDA official presented a report which drew severe outrage of the high court’s judge. “We are rejecting this report. Now go, and call your DG KDA [Director General – Karachi Development Authority] to the court,” the court told the official.

The court remarked that all of them were in nexus for looting people. “Keep this in your mind, it is not that time. If this continues, you will also get caught,” the court added.

The SHC directed to produce the KDA DG at 1:00 am and ordered to present the report in an appropriate procedure.
