KARACHI: Pakistan Army spokesperson Major General Asif Ghafoor on Sunday said that in future Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches would be hosted in Miramshah, headquarters of North Waziristan.
Speaking to media persons at the National Stadium, he said it was heartening to see that sports activities were returning to the country, adding that the matches would also be held in Muzaffarabad and Khyber.
He was present along with the Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Bajwa to watch the final.
The ISPR chief said that he spoke to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ehsan Mani, who was also interested in the idea. “The way our security forces have worked, it should not be reversed,” he said referring to the gains made as a result of military operations against militants in the restive tribal belt.
