–PPP leader Nafisa Shah sees a link between transfer of fake accounts case to Pindi and statement of Rasheed
KARACHI: Bakhtawar Bhutto lashed out at Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad on Sunday, saying the federal government should sack the minister for his statement threatening remarks against Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto.
During his visit to Cantt station on Saturday, Rasheed had said that he had forgiven Bilawal once, but it would be better for him if he “played the game [in political arena] wisely or else he may get killed in politics”.
Replying to railways minister’s remarks on his brother and PPP chairman, she took to Twitter to express her thoughts. She alleged Federal minister Sheikh Rasheed for ‘hurling death threats at Bilawal’.
She tweeted, “From spewing hate speech, Fed ministers now hurling direct death threats at @BBhuttoZardari. Having extremist right-wingers threaten a Bhutto is nothing new but 4 a cabinet member 2 give an OPEN DEATH THREAT to someone whose entire family were killed is disgusting. #sackthisbigot”
NAFISA SAYS PPP WON’T LET IT GO:
Meanwhile, Information Secretary Dr Nafisa Shah said that the PPP will not ignore Shaikh Rasheed’s threat to Bilawal.
She said Shaikh Rasheed has been a “facilitator of terrorist organisations” in the past which is why his statements cannot be ignored as mere “mockery”.
“Our struggle and patience should not be seen as a weakness,” she added. She said that the PPP workers will protect their chairman at all costs.
The PPP leader also sees a link between transfer to fake accounts case to Rawalpindi and the threating statement made by Rasheed.
She said the “concocted case of money laundering against former president Zardari has been transferred to Rawalpindi and now the threat by Shaikh Rasheed to Chairman Bilawal are all indicating that there are links between all of them”.
