Prime Minister Imran Khan dropped Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar at a Waris Road workshop on Friday.

“It’s making strange noises,” he said to Rasheed “Teddy” Butt, head ustaad at Shibli Automotive, Waris Road. “Giving signals that the mileage is about to go down.”

“Got the thing in the first place because it was cheap to run,” he said. “By when could you have it up and running the way it used to?”

“I don’t know, let me have a look under the hood,” Teddy replied. “I could only tell you by then when it could be done. We’re also a little short on staff these days.”

“But do remember: sometimes they are beyond repair and you have to let them go,” he continued.

“Try your luck on OLX but I know a relative who can take it off your hands if you want.”

“No, no, I don’t want to discard it. I call it Waseem Akram. Sentimental reasons, Teddy Bhai,” replied the PM. “I’d rather have it in the driveway than give it to someone.”
