ISLAMABAD: Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan on Thursday called on Prime Minister Imran Khan at his office.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Imran Khan lauded the remarkable professional excellence of Pakistan Air Force (PAF).
Matters of mutual interest, PAF’s professional matters, long-range missile test from JF-17 Thunder and other issues were came under discussion in the meeting.
Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan apprise the prime minister about the operational preparedness of the air force. PM Imran expressed satisfaction over the preparedness of the PAF.
Earlier, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), on March 12, had successfully test-fired indigenously developed extended range smart weapon from JF-17 multi-role fighter aircraft.
“The weapon has been developed, integrated and qualified solely through indigenous efforts of Pakistani scientists and engineers,” according to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
“Successful trial has provided JF-17 Thunder a very potent and assured day and night capability to engage variety of targets with pinpoint accuracy,” the military’s public affairs wing had said.
Pakistan Air Chief, Mujahid Anwar Khan had said it was another milestone for the country. He said if subjected to aggression by adversary, Pakistan would respond with full force.
