PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Wednesday barred National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to arrest Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Ameer Muqam without any warrant.
As per details, PHC heard a case pertaining to the petition filed by PML-N leader Ameer Muqam to restrict NAB from arresting him.
PHC’s Justice Musarrat Hilali heard the case.
During the hearing, Ameer Muqam’s lawyer told the court that an investigation is underway against my client but NAB always arrest the people without any prior warrants during the investigations.
The petitioner demanded to restrict the accountability watchdog of making an arrest without any warrant.
To this, Justice Zafar Hilali accepted the petitioner’s plea and barred NAB to practising restrain from arresting the accused without a warrant.
Justice Hilali in his remarks said that NAB has practising such things that they call people for an inquiry and arrested them without any warrants.
