ISLAMABAD: Met office has forecast cold and dry weather in most parts of the country while light rain-thunderstorm (with light snowfalls over the hills) accompanied by gusty winds is likely at isolated places in upper parts during next 24 hours.
Rainfall is likely in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Malakand, Hazara divisions, Islamabad, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir.
According to the synoptic situations, a shallow westerly wave is affecting upper and central parts of the country.
In the last 24 hours, the weather remained cold and dry in most parts of the country. However, rain-thunderstorm occurred at isolated places in Kalat, Makran, Sukkur, Larkana divisions and Karachi.
Rainfall recorded during this time span was Balochistan: Khuzdar 10mm, Barkhan 05mm, Turbat 04mm, Kalat 03mm, Lasbella, Jiwani, Gawadar 01mm, Sindh: Larkana 07mm, Jaccobabad, Moenjodaro 05mm and Karachi (A/P 02mm).
The minimum temperature recorded were recorded as Kalam -06°C, Astore -05°C, Parachinar -04°C, Skardu, Bagrote -03°C, Malamjabba, Gupis, Drosh -02°C,
