Tree plantation campaign starts at RAC

RAWALPINDI: More than 500 saplings have been planted in the lawns of the Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) under the Clean and Green Pakistan campaign launched by the arts council in collaboration with the Punjab Group of Colleges.

Naheed Manzoor, RAC Director Waqar Ahmed, Director Punjab Group of Colleges Chaudhry Muhammad Akhram and a large number of students took part in the tree plantation campaign.

Naheed Manzoor said its social responsibility of every citizen to take part in the tree plantation. Chaudhry Muhammad Akram said extensive tree plantation is drastically needed in the country to combat pollution.

RAC director Waqar Ahmed said tree plantation is the way to face challenges of environmental change. He said the tree plantation campaign to remain to continue for the whole month.
