LAHORE: Former football player Carles Puyol Saforcada will arrive in Karachi on March 16 to promote the game and officially commence the ticket-sale for the 2019 World Soccer Stars event.
After his arrival, Puyol will head to Karachi’s Dolmen Mall where he will promote the event from 04:00 pm to 06:00 pm.
Former Barca player, also known as ‘the wall’, in a video message, said that “Karachi, I look forward to seeing you all and I am really excited to meet all my fans in Pakistan”.

“World Soccer Stars presents a great opportunity to celebrate the arrival of football and from what I know football is the next emerging sport in Pakistan,” he further said.
World Soccer Stars – a project of TouchSky group – will be held between April 26 and 29. Two exhibition matches will be played between Lahore and Karachi respectively featuring some of the football heavyweights. The much-anticipated tournament will also feature a musical concert by the famed American singer Akon.
Earlier, other football greats including Luis Figo and Ricardo Kaka also visited Pakistan to promote the event.
