Toxic spray was used to kill the four women who were found dead in Toba Tek Singh under mysterious circumstances, postmortem report found on Sunday.
Four bodies of women were found from Toba Tek Singh during Saturday.
“All four women died of poisonous spray around 11 in the night,” said District Police Officer Sadiq Dogar.
The samples of bodies will be sent for a forensic test, he continued.
It is pertinent to mention here that Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar had also taken notice of the incident and summoned a report from Faisalabad’s regional police officer in this regard.
According to police, the deceased included a mother and her three daughters. The bodies were taken into custody.
Police further said they are investigating the incident from all angles to determine whether it was a murder or suicide. “We are also collecting information from the locals in this regard,” police added.
