ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mahmood Qureshi Friday urged the nation to stay united against the external challenges being faced by the country.
Talking to a private television channel, the foreign minister said that efforts were being made through diplomatic channels to inform the world about Pakistan’s efforts for maintaining peace in the region.
On the prevailing situation in the country, he said input would be taken from Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif.
“In my meetings with Luxembourg FM Jean Asselborn and Saudi State Minister for Foreign Affairs Adil Al Jubeir, I informed them about the prevailing situation,” he said.
Qureshi said that Pakistan would share its peace narrative with the foreign ministers of Germany and Turkmenistan, who would be arriving here on March 12.
“I will also be meeting the national security advisor of the United States and inform him on the steps taken by Pakistan for de-escalation of the situation,” he said.
