LAHORE: The dead body of a man was recovered from Punjab University hostel.
According to details, the man was reportedly murdered will a sharp tool. His body was recovered from boys’ hostel no. 1 of University of Punjab.
The slain has been identified as 28-year-old Sohail. He has been working as a tailor in Punjab University hostels for five years.
Media reports said that the deceased belonged to Dipalpur and had shifted to Lahore with his family a few years ago. He used to live in a flat in Garden Town.
Police said that Sohail was murdered with a sharp tool. The accused fled the scene of the crime.
Meanwhile, the university students protested against the poor security arrangements in the hostel and condemned the brutal murder. They raised slogans against the hostel administration and demanded that the accused be brought to justice.
Police reached the scene and took the dead body in its custody. They have started collecting evidence and have registered a report of the murder case. Police said that they are investigating into the murder.
