Haque says has no dispute with Fawad

PM’s Special Assistant on Political Affairs Naeemul Haque on Saturday said he had no conflict with Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry.

In a statement, Haque said the prime minister had taken no decision about replacing ministers.

He said he was in talks on the issues of running state television PTV.

The PM’s close aide said improvement was needed in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) law. He suggested that NAB prosecutors should be appointed after consultation with the Ministry of Law.

On February 25, Fawad Chaudhry had said that if the affairs of Pakistan Television would not be tackled properly, it will come to close.

The information minister was talking to media after attending a session of the Senate’s Standing Committee for Information and Broadcasting.

The Senate body had given its recommendations on the affairs of PTV, the minister said adding that, it will send its recommendations to the office of the prime minister.

Fawad had said that all members of the committee had recommended removal of the managing director of PTV.

The minister had alleged that the state television’s MD had hijacked its affairs, the PTV management even opted to remain absent from the meeting of the committee.

The information minister had said that the PTV’s headquarter has been closed for 23 days.
