LAHORE: Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has made a big announcement for the people of Lahore.
Chaudhry Sarwar has announced to keep Governor House Punjab open for public all seven days a week.
The citizens will now be able to visit Governor House, Lahore on all seven days of a week. Earlier, they were only allowed to visit the building on Sunday.
The entry to the mighty Governor House will be made through the gate situated towards Alhamra Hall. It is mandatory for the family head to have a CNIC to enter the Governor House.
The Governor House Punjab building was opened for public as part of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government’s strategy to allow the people’s access to government-owned buildings.
After the decision, a large number of families visit the Governor House every Sunday and take pictures.
Upon people visiting the mighty building, Prime Minister Imran Khan said finally the doors of Lahore Governor House are open to the people of Pakistan.
“Symbols of colonial rule come crashing down. Our nation will become invincible when our people own their government,” the Prime Minister had written in a tweet.
