Punjab govt to expose ‘PML-N’s corruption in energy sector’

The Punjab government announced on Friday to expose the alleged corruption of the former ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in the energy sector.

Addressing a press conference along with Punjab Information Minister Samsam Bukhari and Spokesperson for Punjab CM Shahbaz Gill in Lahore, Punjab Minister for Energy Dr Akhtar Malik said that the Sharif family looted the country “like East India Company” and transferred money to London.

He said that the corruption and irregularities of PML-N’s previous provincial government in the energy sector will be exposed.

Dr Akhtar Malik went on to say that former Punjab CM Shehbaz Sharif himself kept the energy ministry and energy sector, adding that the PML-N president used to deal with contractors.

A white paper would soon be issued from the energy sector, he added.
