Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari hit back at Prime Minister Imran Khan moments after the latter took a jibe at him for being a hereditary politician.

The prime minister should respond to [his speech] him in the National Assembly rather than “going behind his back” in public, the PPP chief said.

Addressing a gathering in Tharparkar, the prime minister said the PPP chairman “became a leader by changing his name” with no history of [political] struggle.

“Leaders are made from struggle and stand on an ideology,” he added.

Commenting on Bilawal’s speech in the National Assembly, the prime minister said since the PPP chairman had not roamed around Pakistan, he was unaware of only a few people speaking English in the country. “The English spoken by Bilawal was not understood by people in the Assembly as well.”

“If he wants to respond to my NA speech should do so in parliament to my face. Cowards talk behind people’s backs,” Bilawal retorted to Imran’s remarks.

He also criticised the PM for his response on India and banned outfits. “I wish our PM could work up the courage to respond to Modi or talk against banned organizations with the same tone he frequently criticizes opposition,” he added.
