Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Thursday said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) cabinet appears to not be on the same page.
Bilawal was speaking of the National Assembly session on Wednesday in which the government passed the Finance Supplementary (Second Amendment) Bill 2019, as the opposition parties walked out of the House.
He tweeted that the finance minister “called my speech ‘mulk dushman’ even though the foreign minister agreed with everything I said. So the cabinet is clearly not on the same page.”
“He took issue with my English, even though the FM spoke in English. General Umar’s offspring are in no position to lecture ghairat,” Bilawal asserted.

Earlier, Bilawal during the address criticised the government for its “poor economic policies” in addition to underlining human rights violations in Kashmir.
Taking the government to task for presenting yet another mini-budget, he said how could it claim to be a business-friendly regime when taxes were revised thrice a year.
He criticised the bill, saying that the government has increased the masses’ miseries by increasing the price of medicines among other necessities.
He said the PTI government has no plan to pull the country out of the economic quagmire, claiming that the government made cuts in the housing and education sectors to facilitate the rich segments of the society
When Finance Minister Asad Umar took the podium, he accused the opposition of ‘political point-scoring’ rather than any “concrete suggestions on how government should do to deal with the economic crisis”.
Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi invited National Assembly Opposition Leader Shehbaz Sharif, the PPP chairperson and other opposition leaders to help the government for a cohesive foreign policy in these “testing times”.
Qureshi, who took the podium after the PPP chairman’s address to the assembly in a session on mini-budget, said the government was willing to involve the opposition in the process of foreign policy.
