Cricketer Mohammad Amir’s mother passes away

LAHORE: Pakistani pacer Mohammad Amir’s mother passed away on Monday night after a prolonged illness.

Breaking the news on Twitter, Amir wrote: “My AMI (mother) IS NO MORE”.

Earlier in the day, the fast bowler asked fans to pray for her mother as she is not well and admitted in the hospital. “MY MOTHER IS NOT WELL SHE IS IN ICU PLZ NEED UR PRAYERS,” Amir said on Twitter.

Fellow Pakistani cricketers expressed their grief with him and sent their condolences.

Wahab Riaz wrote: “Inna lilahi wa inna ilahi rajioon. May Allah grant her the highest place in Jannah.. Lots of Duaas .”

Pakistan cricket team captain Sarfraz Ahmad said: “Allah tala ap sub logo ko saber ata farmaye .aur apke ammi ko jannat me aala maqam ata farmaye.”

Afghan cricketer Rashid Khan sent his condolences, “إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ May Allah grant her the highest of janah and rank her amongst the ones which Allah loves. MAY Allah give you and your family sabar.”

Kamran Akmal wrote: “Inna lillah hi wa inna eliehi rajioon…may Allah give her highest place in jannat and give saber to your whole family to bear the loss Ameen.”

Pakistan woman cricketer Nain Abidi wrote: “!إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ May Allah have mercy on her and make it easy for her in the stages of the hereafter & give your family patience during this difficult time!! Ameen!!.”
