Bid to smuggle heroin to Saudi Arabia foiled, accused held at Islamabad Airport

ISLAMABAD: The Airport Security Force (ASF) foiled a bid to smuggle one and a half kilogram heroin worth millions of rupees to Saudi Arabi and arrested an accused at Islamabad Airport.

The ASF sources said that during the search of baggage of a passenger Syed Iqbal leaving for Riyadh through international airline flight XY-316, 1.5-kilogram heroin worth millions of rupees in the international market was recovered.

The ASF offloaded and arrested the accused hailing from district Swabi of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

The nabbed drug peddler was handed over to the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) for further investigation.
