Five injured in robbery incident in Korangi

KARACHI: Five people were injured over resistance during a robbery bid in Korangi area of the city on late Sunday night.

According to police sources, a gang of four robbers, riding on two motorcycles, entered a milk shop near Ghous Pak road in Korangi and tried to loot cash and other valuables. But the people offered them resistance on which the robbers opened fire on them. As a result, five people, Naeem, Farhan, Anwar, Sameer and Aqil sustained bullet injuries.

The robbers fled after looting Rs60, 000 from the shop.

The injured were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for treatment where the condition of Sameer was stated to be serious.
