Opposition leader in the National Assembly (NA) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday said that wars are not a solution to any dispute.

In a tweet, Shehbaz said, “Unless Kashmir issue is resolved as per the United Nations (UN) resolutions and aspirations of the Kashmiris, a durable peace will not be established in South Asia.”

“Pakistan should continue to extend its moral, political and diplomatic support to the Kashmiris,” the PML-N leader added.

Earlier on Thursday, Shehbaz said that India has committed a serious crime by violating our airspace, adding that with an immediate and effective response to the Indian aggression, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has won the hearts of Pakistanis so that the nation holds its head high.

Addressing the joint session of the parliament, he said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a warmonger. He said that in the past, many countries of the world had banned his entry.

Shehbaz said that the tension between Pakistan and India is not a new thing as already three wars had been fought by them.

Shahbaz paid tribute to Squadron Leader Hassan Siddiqui, who shot the Indian fighter jet, saying that he is an undisputed national hero today. He said that his bravery had rekindled the memories of the war of 1965.
