Monitoring law and order situation personally: CM Buzdar

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that protection of lives and properties of the people is a fundamental responsibility of the state and no stone will be left unturned in this regard.

He stated this while presiding over a high-level meeting at his office here on Thursday during which overall law and order situation of the province was reviewed and the meeting expressed its satisfaction over the arrangements made for the protection of life and property of the people.

Addressing the meeting, CM Buzdar directed to take every possible step for further improving the law and order situation, adding that every effort should be made in this regard because nothing is important than it. “I am personally monitoring the law & order situation,” he added.

He directed that the law and order meetings should be regularly held at the level of divisions and districts while their reports should be forwarded to the Chief Minister’s Office.

Provincial Health Minister Dr Yasmeen Rashid, chief secretary, assistant chief secretary (home), inspector general of police, spokesman to the CM, secretaries of relevant departments and high-officials attended the meeting.

Moreover, Buzdar approved the launching of special projects for the welfare of deserving women, children and senior citizens in the province.

He gave the approval at a meeting of Board of Punjab Social Protection Authority.

The meeting also decided to establish One Window Welfare Counter to provide services of Social Protection Authority at the e-Service Centres for deserving people.
