ICJ president inquires about former CJP Jilani

International Court of Justice (ICJ) President Abdulqawi Ahmed Yusuf on Thursday called Tasadduq Hussain Jilani, an ad hoc judge in the ongoing Kulbhushan Jadhav case, to inquire about his health, a local media outlet reported on Thursday.

According to reports, the former CJP joined the proceedings at the ICJ “as his health has improved”. He was suffering from Pneumonia.

On Wednesday, the Indian legal team sought annulment of the Indian spy’s death sentence or a retrial in a Pakistan civilian court with full consular access.

Jadhav, who was captured in Balochistan in March 2016, confessed to his involvement in espionage and fomenting terrorism in Pakistan.
