KARACHI: Two workers of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) were reportedly gunned down in targeted killing incidents on Thursday night.
Shafqat, a 55-year-old party worker, was reportedly shot around 11:30pm by unidentified persons in Orangi Town area of the city. He had recently joined the ruling party. Abdur Rehman, a 27-year-old was killed by men on a motorcycle in the SITE-A Bawani Chali area.
As the dead bodies were shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, PTI leader Khurram Sher Zaman reached the hospital. He has asked the Sindh chief minister and Sindh Rangers director general to investigate the killings that threaten to disrupt the peace of the city.
The Karachi police chief has sought a report on the matter from senior superintendent police (SSP) west.
