DUBAI: With the fourth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) starting in less than 24 hours, Peshawar Zalmi released an official Pashto anthem to motivate the youth.
The anthem, which was sung by Gul Panra and Zeek Afridi, is written by renowned Pashto poet Laiq Zada Liaq.
“The anthem aims to inspire the youth into making a mark for themselves,” a press release read.
Zalmi owner Javed Afridi said that “the Pashto anthem is the voice of the people of KPK”.
Afridi hoped to win the hearts of Zalmi fans by “performing well in the coming season of PSL”.
The fourth edition of the celebrated T20 league will commence from Thursday with a star-studded opening ceremony in Dubai. American rapper Pitbull and Singer-turned-actor Fawad Afzal Khan, amongst others, will perform at the much-awaited opening ceremony.
The final fixture will be held on March 17 in Karachi’s National Stadium.
