ISLAMABAD: The federal government has decided to set up a science and technology park in the federal Capital at an initial construction cost of Rs50 million.

The park will be established in collaboration with COMSATS university.

A well-known company is preparing a feasibility report in this regard.

The purpose of the park is to promote studies and research in science, especially for science students who would get all the facilities related to science and technology under one roof.

It is vital to mention here that National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) and Higher Education Commission (HEC) had started work on this project in 2017, estimating that it would be completed in 2020; however, it would not be completed on the proposed time due to the change of government.
