LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Fayyazul Hassan Chohan said on Wednesday that the Punjab government could treat former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s cardiac issues but “could not fulfill his wishes”.
Speaking to media persons here, the minister said Nawaz’s health is not the problem “but his intentions are”.
Chohan declared former interior minister Ahsan Iqbal an “illiterate” and said everyone could see what was going on between former president Asif Ali Zardari and PML-N chief Shehbaz Sharif.
Hitting out at PML-N leaders Khawaja Saad Rafique and his brother Salman Rafique, the provincial information minister said those “who once owned only a motorcycle are now billionaires”.
“It is easy to formulate laws but hard to implement them and only those who are not corrupt can do so,” he said.
