ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has summoned a meeting of the federal cabinet on Thursday to approve various agreements with other countries.
The cabinet meeting will be held at 11:30am at the Prime Minister’s Office, the reports said, adding that it will discuss a 20-point agenda along with the implementation of earlier decisions of the federal cabinet.
The cabinet meeting will also approve agreements of cooperation with other countries.
The cabinet will also discuss on the Anti-Narcotics Policy-2018 in its session.
The federal cabinet with PM Imran Khan in the chair is likely to mull over offering relief to development projects in the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) Rules 2004.
The cabinet meeting will approve the amended National Disaster Management Act 2010.
The appointment of the chairman of Employees Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) is also part of the cabinet session, according to sources.
The ministers’ council will discuss the appointment of the Gwadar Port Authority chairman. It will also approve the appointment of the president of Zarai Taraqiati Bank.
In the previous meeting, the cabinet was briefed on the softening of Pakistan’s visa regime and the Hajj policy.
Prime minister’s Adviser Dr Ishrat Hussain also submitted his report on reforms and restructuring in government institutions.
