Karachi is the dirtiest Pakistani city: survey

KARACHI: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, Karachi tops the list as the city that is considered the dirtiest of Pakistan.

The survey included a gender-inclusive sample population from all four provinces who were asked: “In your opinion, which city of Pakistan is the dirtiest?”

In response to this question, 25pc said Karachi, 11pc said Lahore, 7pc said Peshawar, 5pc said Faisalabad, 4pc said Shikarpur, 3pc each said Quetta, Sukkur, Multan and Sahiwal, 24pc referred to other cities of the country, 4pc said none, while 8pc did not know or did not wish to respond.

The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1142 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, between January 24 and 28. The error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 percent at the 95% confidence level.
