JAMSHORO: Former president and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has alleged that the country is heading towards an economic crisis owing to the “ill planning of the incumbent government”.

Speaking to activists during his visit to Shah Baig village near Moro Town on Monday, Zardari said that only the PPP was capable to run the country in a good way and save it from the looming crises.

“The poor are the soul of PPP and people always had cast their votes in PPP’s favour,” he said and added that despite the hardships of the present and the “hurdles being erected” in its way, the party would continue to serve the people.

“It is the PPP’s manifesto to serve the public and relieve the poor of their miseries,” Zardari said further.

He added that PPP was a public party that had always provided the masses with employment opportunities in its tenure.

Earlier, the former president also offered condolences to local PPP leader Shah Baig Sabki on the death of the latter’s father. He was accompanied by party leaders, including Zia Hussain Lanjar and Mumtaz Chandio.
