A woman was arrested on Monday for allegedly stealing charity donation box from the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre in Lahore.
According to reports, the police said Rabiya was arrested for ‘stealing’ charity boxes from Jinnah and Ganga Ram hospitals while her male accomplice managed to escape.
During the initial interrogation she confessed to her crime, the police added.
Earlier on September 6, last year a video emerged of shopkeepers thrashing two women for allegedly shoplifting in a market in Lahore.
The footage began making the rounds on social media, in which the women went to a clothes shop in a market near Jallo Mor. The women allegedly tried to steal a bundle of cloth from one of the shops.
